The main idea was to implement a new entrance area with a clearly defined footpath and an accentuate entrance situation.

The new entrance area contains three elements:

• newly positioned locomotive and water area; both in the middle of a green area
• new transformer design
• glass façade in the entrance and water area as well as establishing a new entrance to the building

A newly developed footpath leads directly through all the elements to the entrance. The visitor will experience the whole building as a unit.
