Nike Store
Vienna, Austria
Interiorwork and storefronts
The Austrian Consulting Engineers Group ZT-KEG (ACE Group) has been assigned by the international sporting goods group Nike as the local architect for the construction of Austria’s first “Nike Multi-Gender Concept Store”, situated in the Generali-Center shopping mall on Mariahilfer Strasse in Vienna’s 6th district. The planning work is carried out in cooperation with Gensler Architects, London.
The store extends onto two levels, with the sales area situated on the ground floor. A steel staircase grants access to the upper floor, which contains the storage area and the staff rooms.
In the sales areas, the lighting design takes on a guiding function, serving to subdivide the store into different zones. In the layout of the sales areas, with their modern, easy-access product displays, the main focus is placed on optimum customer service. A multimedia system within the store serves purposes of consumer information and advertising. In terms of color scheme, the sales area is designed in characteristic black-and-white contrasts.
A new design is also provided for the storefront towards the street. By means of a multimedia wall, this area is used for advertising and information.
